Timothy Pedersen MS, PT
Tim graduated from Dartmouth High School in 1984 and then Springfield College with a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy in 1990. He has been a Fairhaven resident for 20+ years. He served as a Clinic manager for several of Braintree Hospital's outpatient clinics until 1999 when I left to take a position as Therapy Director for Clifton Rehabilitative Nursing Center in Somerset, MA. While there, he managed and helped expand their inpatient rehabilitation program and started the Clifton Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic. In 2010, he opened Synergy Physical Therapy in Fairhaven.
He specializes in outpatient orthopedics and sports rehabilitation but treat a wide variety of other problems including balance and gait issues and stroke rehabilitation. He is Level 1 and Medical Level 2 certified by the Titleist Performance Institute. He has also completed training in Dry Needling, DN1 and uses it to restore muscle function and decrease pain.
He is a member of the National American Physical Therapy Association, State chapter, and both the Sports Therapy and Private Practice Sections.
He enjoys kayaking, skiing and spending time with his family - especially when riding roller coasters!
Sarah Coucci PT
Sarah grew up in Rochester and is a 2004 graduate of Old Rochester Regional High School. She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Simmons College in 2010.
Sarah worked for a short time at Synergy Physical Therapy before leaving to work at Children’s Hospital in Boston for 7 years. She returned to Synergy Physical Therapy in December of 2018. She has experience in working with patients with orthopedic and nueromuscular conditions, chronic pain and post surgical rehabilitation. She has also been an adjunct faculty member for the Physical Therapy Adult Neuromuscular and Pediatrics Course at Simmons College.
She enjoys running, sailing, traveling and spending time with her husband and two children.
Samantha Olsen DPT
Sam grew up in Fairhaven and has lived in the Southcoast all her life. She is a graduate of Simmons College where she received her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Her career focus has been on rehabilitating orthopedic injuries, particularly athletes. She has attended many continuing educational courses including both the introduction to Dry Needling, DN1 and gone on to complete the advanced DN2 course. She uses this in combination with her treatment to restore muscle function, and decrease pain.
Tracey Maher PTA
Tracey is a 1985 graduate of Dartmouth High School. Tracey received her BA in 1989 from Southeastern Massachusetts University (now UMass Dartmouth) and later in 1994 graduated from Newbury College with her AS degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant. She has worked in a variety of settings including Inpatient Rehabilitation and Outpatient Rehabilitation. She has attended continuing education courses for orthopedic joint and soft tissue mobilization. She has served as a clinical instructor for student physical therapy assistants. Tracey enjoys running and spending time with her family.
Kristen Curcio PTA
Kristen graduated from Fairhaven High School and went on to receive her AS degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant from Newbury College in 1994. She has worked in a variety of settings including Inpatient Rehabilitation, Homecare Physical Therapy and Outpatient Rehabilitation. She enjoys hiking, kayaking and skiing.
